Frequently Asked Questions
Are you taking new clients?
Yes! We travel as far west as Northford and Bethany and as far east as the Rhode Island border. If you aren't sure if you are in our practice range you can fill out the "new client" form at the bottom of the website and we'll get back to you.I have an emergency! Can you help?
We always provide emergency coverage for current patients, but we don't see emergencies for non-clients.We define a “current patient” as one who has been seen for an exam and wellness care in the past 12 months.
Where is your office located?
We don't have an office! The economy of mobile equine medicine makes it challenging to support a facility, so while we would love to get there someday at the moment we're phones only. Please be patient with us and if you are requesting an appointment or other advice through email or a voicemail give us as much information as possible to work with. If you tell us what days work best for you we'll do our best to accommodate!Do you have weekend appointments?
We don't see regular appointments on the weekends. We try not to schedule the last appointment of the day after 3 pm so that we can finish the day and drive home at a reasonable time as well as have the wiggle room for emergencies that arise.Do you see non-equine animals?
We're sorry but we really only see horses (and donkeys and mules). We aren't very experienced with small ruminant medicine and you'd be better served by others.
